What can nature teach us about the game called Life?
Rediscover the Great Outdoors!
If dashing out of bed and landing smack into an exciting adventure sounds like your idea of fun, then you’ll love this studio. Pack your bags for an excursion to the picturesque Pigeon Point Lighthouse – a towering lighthouse made out of more than a million bricks. If we’re lucky, we’ll see dolphins diving right off the coast, acrobatic sea lions, and cute sea otters wrapped up in kelp. Discuss the impact of global warming on these creatures, and every other living being.
Next, we’ll travel to Butano State Park, where ancient redwoods await to greet our little party. What do the tallest trees in the world have to say about the planet? What skills do we need to survive and adapt to change? (Useful throughout all stages in life, especially in the event of a zombie apocalypse!)
Our final stop in this grand summer tour is a journey by train to the city of Santa Cruz, a beach town by the Pacific Ocean.
While you’re catching your breath, reflect on the outdoor trips and all that you’ve learned. How can good design, science and creativity work together to create meaningful solutions? Put your thinking cap on and explore your vision of a product that will benefit mankind, yet be kind on the planet. Test your ideas out at the summer camp marketplace.
